Internet Dogs Are Now “Writing” Books

Some say say that “cats rule the internet,” but we’d certainly say that dogs are just as big online. Sure a cat rode a Roomba dressed like a shark, but for every famous cat, there’s plenty of famous dogs. Instagram and other social media networks are ful of them. These dogs are so famous, they have their own books! There’s Lassie and Benji, but what about these fun pups? Here are several dogs you may have seen on Instagram and oher social media networks, and now their owners/mangers have compiled their best snapshots in adorable coffee table books.

Toast the King Charles Spaniel

Toast is a shelter King Charles Spaniel rescue without any teeth. This condition causes her to pop her tongue out all the time, and she’s quite the famous pooch! Having modeled for big names like Karen Walker, and hung out with Karlie Kloss, it was only natural that Toast get her own book. ToastHampton: How to Summer in Style is a collection of Toast and her amazing fashion photographs in the Hamptons.

Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo’s owner, Rafael Mantesso, had just been left by his wife on his 30th birthday. The apartment cleaned out of everything, Rafael and Jimmy Cho were left behind in a blank white box. Mantesso was inspired to photograph the dog in the empty space and eventually drew illustrations to accompany the dog – right on the white walls. Jimmy Choo became Superdog, a Star Wars stormtrooper and a shark, and all of the photos became Instagram darlings. Now the collection of new and previously-released images is in the book A Dog Called Jimmy.

crusoeCrusoe the Celebrity Dachshund

Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund is a weiner dog with a big ego, says his owner Ryan. Crusoe is a world-famous traveler and has gone around the globe, with great photographs taken of the media darling all the way. His exploits have been chronicled in the bestselling book Adventures of the Weiner Dog Extraordinarie. You’ll also find photos of Crusoe as a doctor, Batdog, a pilot, and in other fun costumes.

Boo the Pomeranian

Boo the dog became an internet celebrity before the days of Instagram, and he still sells plenty of books and calendars, and even a plush. Boo is featured in Boo: The life of the World’s Cutest Dog, but that’s not all. He also has the book Boo A to AZ, and Boo: Little Dog in the Big City.

With all of these great coffee table books about famous dogs, you may be inspired to take plenty of snapshots of your dog online! Who knows, you might have the next Boo or Jimmy Choo in your home!
