This is because when you set your boundary, it could mean that your contained area will reach further than you want it to, for example, your neighbour’s garden or onto the main road, where it isnt safe for your dog. It’s also not a quick fix to stop your dog from roaming. You need to train your dogs to recognize that the tone or pulse means that they have gone out of their contained area, and that they need to come back into it. Because of this, whether it works for your dogs will depend on you investing your time into training them properly and how your dog responds to the training you give them.
