DIY Frozen Dog Treats
The days will be heating up soon, and if you need a way to cool your pup, this is it! You love ice when it’s hot, and so does your dog! Purple Patch DIY came up with this easy way to keep your dog cool and entertain him for hours. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A silicone cake mold
- Sodium-free Chicken stock
- Water
- Some treats (Try not to use food like kibble because of the soggy factor. Hard biscuits are great!)
- Some hard toys like a Kong, things made of durable rubber
Place the toys and treats in the mold, then add your water and chicken stock, making sure it’s not too full, or else when it freezes, it will go everywhere! The stock is for flavoring, so don’t go crazy heaping it in, you should aim for half water/half chicken stock. Place in the freezer (again, check the water level, because water expands as it freezes) and wait several hours until frozen. Give to dogs, and watch them enjoy it!
